Acute Pain Clinical Nurse Consultant – Nurse Practitioner

About the Role
Join The Royal Melbourne Hospital's renowned Pain Management Service and Peri Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), supporting a busy 16-theatre operating suite and delivering expert care across acute, sub-acute and persistent pain services.
In this role you will:
- Deliver expert assessment, care planning and management for patients experiencing acute and persistent pain.
- Lead multidisciplinary collaboration to optimise pain management and improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the Transitional Pain Service, opioid stewardship initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Provide education, mentoring and clinical leadership across nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
About You
- Endorsed Nurse Practitioner,
or working towards endorsement.
- Significant experience in perioperative, recovery or pain management nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Desirable
- Graduate Certificate in Peri-Anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing or related specialty.
- Experience in acute pain, transitional pain or persistent pain services.
