Production Supervisor / 2IC

We're a family-run business based in beautiful Toowoomba, passionate about producing extraordinary Australian meat snacks. Our business is built on two things — great meat and great people.

We're a small but growing operation, and as we scale we need someone experienced enough to help establish the systems and processes that'll carry us through that growth — not just step into a role that's already fully mapped out.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be physically involved in production alongside the team every day — not just directing from the sidelines — while working closely with the Manager to keep the floor running smoothly, maintain quality, and hit output targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Working hands-on in production — cutting, trimming, spicing, marinating, packaging, and dispatch — alongside the team
- Supervising day-to-day production activities and coordinating the team's workflow
- Working closely with the Manager to help establish and refine production systems, processes, and checklists as the business grows
- Ensuring production schedules and dispatch deadlines are met
- Monitoring product yield, quality, and consistency, and addressing issues on the spot
- Overseeing food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety compliance on the floor
- Managing stock levels of raw materials and packaging, flagging shortages early
- Training, mentoring, and rostering junior production staff
- Acting as the main point of contact on the floor in the Manager's absence




- Maintaining accurate production records and reporting on output, waste, and stock
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and protect margins

What We're Looking For

- Solid, hands-on experience in food production, manufacturing, or meat processing, ideally in a leadership or senior hand role
- Comfortable working in an environment where not everything is fully systemised yet — someone who can help build structure, not just follow it
- Happy to be on the floor doing the physical work, not just managing from a distance
- Confident leading and coordinating a small team
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to product quality
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Comfortable working in a cool-room or meat-processing workplace
- Physically fit, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg
- Current Australian driver's licence (essential)
- Food safety certification (e.g. HACCP or similar) highly regarded but not essential

Pay: $60,083.49 – $104,510.82 per year
