Role Description This is a part time remote Python Developer role.
The Python
Developer will build, test, and maintain backend services and tools that support radiology-related AI workflows and data pipelines. Day-to-day tasks include implementing object-oriented Python code, integrating databases, optimizing performance, and contributing to software architecture decisions. The role involves collaborating with researchers and other developers to translate experimental AI models into reliable applications, writing clean and well-documented code, and participating in code reviews. The developer will also help troubleshoot issues, improve existing systems, and support deployment and monitoring of applications in a research and healthcare context.
Qualifications
- Strong programming skills with Python and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs and services,
and integrating with front-end or external systems.
- Background in general Software Development practices such as version control, testing, debugging, and continuous integration.
- Knowledge of Databases, including designing schemas, writing queries, and working with relational or NoSQL database systems.
- Familiarity with AI or data-intensive applications, especially in healthcare or scientific research, is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate asynchronously with a multidisciplinary team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with attention to documentation and reproducibility.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
