2X Qualified Baker – Bakers Delight Kiama

- Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, which will include shifts from 4 AM to 12PM.

- This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.

Bakers Delight Kiama is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic 2X Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and produce quality bakery products in line with Bakers Delight standards (full training provided on BDH recipes).

- Accurately weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.

- Operate bakery machinery and tools to produce a range of bread, rolls, pastries, and specialty items.

- Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to perfection.

- Decorate cakes and bakery goods with glazes, icings, buttercream, and edible toppings.

- Manage proofing, shaping, and baking schedules to meet production deadlines.

- Check and maintain the quality and freshness of all ingredients.





- Follow portion control and recipe specifications to maintain product consistency.

- Maintain a clean and hygienic work workplace, ensuring all machinery, tools, and premises meet Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Food Safety standards.

- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management of baking supplies.

- Report equipment issues promptly to management to prevent downtime.

- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices when required..

To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

- Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 2am)

- Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

- Portray a positive attitude

- Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor

- Abide by company policies and procedures at all times

- Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department

- Have an eye for detail

Applicants require minimum one ore more years experience. Additional experience and or qualification as a Baker will be an advantage for this role.
