This Quality Assurance Officer/Engineer role suits a Mechanical or Process Engineering graduate, or early-career candidate, who wants hands‑on exposure to stainless steel fabrication, pharmaceutical-grade installations, and data centre projects. The position is office-based in Tullamarine with day-to-day interaction with project, fabrication and procurement teams.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, compile and maintain QA documentation for projects, including ITPs, MDRs and as-built records.
- Complete and file QA paperwork from the workshop and site teams to ensure full traceability.
- Assist in preparing project documentation such as submissions, transmittals and handover packs.
- Support procurement activities, including raising purchase requests and checking supplier documentation against specifications.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, manage documentation workflows and close out quality actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and templates.
About you
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process/Chemical Engineering — recent graduates and those with up to 2–3 years' experience are encouraged to apply.
- Solid attention to detail and good written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, tradespeople, and suppliers.
Preferred
- Construction Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain one.
- Exposure to stainless steel piping, fabrication, or industrial installations through uni projects, work placements, casual work, or prior roles.
- Some QA, documentation control or project coordination experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Interest in pharmaceutical, biotech or data centre projects
