Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Radiographer to join our expanding Medical Imaging Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive regional health service delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across a diverse range of modalities and clinical settings.

Our Medical Imaging Department provides services across General X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Dental Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and BreastScreen Victoria, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care. Working alongside experienced radiographers, sonographers, radiologists, and multidisciplinary clinicians, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional imaging services to our community.

About the Role

As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations while ensuring a safe, compassionate, and patient-centred experience. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support excellence in imaging services.





Key responsibilities include: Performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols

Delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism and empathy

Ensuring radiation safety and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements

Maintaining accurate patient records and imaging documentation

Participating in quality improvement and professional development activities

Contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team culture

Supporting after-hours and on-call services as required Wage scale will be in the range of Grade 1 Year 4 to Gr 2 year 4 depending on Experience.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Essential Requirements Bachelor of Medical Imaging or equivalent qualification

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Victorian Radiation Use Licence (or eligibility to obtain)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to patient-centred care and service excellence

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Desirable Experience across a range of general radiography examinations





CT experience or willingness to develop CT capability

Experience working within a regional or public health setting
