· Location: Blackburn The Role The primary purpose of the position of the Recruitment Advisor is to contribute to Talent Acquisition team service delivery in providing best practice talent acquisition and sourcing strategies.

The Recruitment

Advisor is responsible for supporting the Recruitment Team in the coordination and delivery of selection processes across the operational promotions and recruit firefighter selection processes. Working collaboratively across the People and Culture team to build excellent stakeholder relationships and enhance FRV's employer brand by ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the selection process.

Key Functional Accountabilities:

- Assist the Recruitment Team in the coordination and delivery of Talent Acquisition recruitment and selection services across FRV's recruit firefighter and operational promotion selection processes.
- Participate in the coordination and delivery of all stages of the recruit firefighter selection process.
- Administer FRV's candidate management system to progress candidates through the selection process. Create appointment schedules, send invitations, prepare/produce selection process documentation, develop correspondence and guidance material for candidates.

The Team The People and Culture Directorate takes a lead role in strategy development and implementation to enable Fire Rescue Victoria to have a safe workplace, a respectful and achievement-oriented culture, and an agile and engaged workforce. The key functions of the directorate are Human Resources Systems and Services, Workplace Relations and Ethical Standards, Organisational Development and Business Partnering, and Media and Communications.

What you will need to Succeed To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Diploma or Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources management or experience in a human resources administration/advisor role.
- A strong understanding of recruitment practices and managing end to end recruitment and selection, including best practice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, make decisions and resolve problems under pressure. Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, within tight timeframes whilst balancing workload and conflicting priorities.
- Sound knowledge of the application of HR policies, procedure and relevant legislation.
- High level of proficiency with Human Resource and Recruitment Information Systems and other business tools such as Microsoft Office and Sharepoint.
