The Brighter Beginnings initiative is a partnership between NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education to deliver preschool health and development checks in early childhood education and care settings.

The Registered Nurse will conduct health and developmental screening, support early intervention and therapy programs, and contribute to the development of implementation resources. The role delivers person-centred, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with children, families and the multidisciplinary team.

The role may involve working with families experiencing complex issues or trauma and may require commencement at various locations.

From Helensburgh in the north-to-North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms. - Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and hold a current NSW Driver Licence.




- Child & Family Health Nursing qualifications or demonstrated enrolment in Child & Family Health course and willingness to complete.
- Travel across ISLHD is required for the role
- Successful applicant must be available to work Fridays
