Your role at St John of God Midland Public Hospital As a Registered Nurse, you will join our 30-bed Aged Care and Restorative Ward B, providing Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) care to older patients from across the Greater Eastern Perth region. Our GEM service provides specialised, person-centred care for older people with complex medical, functional, and rehabilitation needs, with a strong focus on restoring function, maximising independence, and enhancing quality of life. As a valued member of our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care while supporting patients to achieve their individual health, rehabilitation, and wellbeing goals.

This position will be offered on 12 month fixed-term part-time basis, working 21 hours per week on a Rotating 7-hour Shift Roster across Monday to Sunday.
Shift Roster Times
7am to 2.30pm
2pm to 9.30pm Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.
The successful applicant will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate solid clinical skills relevant to a rehabilitation environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to identify and resolve problems, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.

We can offer you
Salary: $82,945 to $106,629.87 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation A 12 month fixed-term, part-time position, working 21 hours per week
