About your role

Join Lagoon Ward at Redland Hospital, a dynamic 28-bed medical unit combining a 16-bed Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU) with a 12-bed Acute Medical Unit (AMU).

- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care across MAPU and acute/subacute medicine
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care
- Care for patients with complex medical conditions including cardiac, stroke, respiratory, diabetes and renal presentations
- Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Develop your clinical skills in patient assessment, care coordination and discharge planning
- Contribute to patient flow and contemporary demand management practices
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical education and evidence-based practice
- Work across different Bayside Health Service sites as required

About You We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and is motivated to continue developing their clinical expertise in acute and subacute medical nursing.

- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care
- Strong clinical assessment, planning, prioritisation and decision-making skills
- Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development




- Effective communication and collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider team
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance
