Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Grade 5 for a rural hospital contract in Theodore, Queensland.

This is a great opportunity for an RN with strong rural, emergency and acute nursing experience who is confident working across a broad scope of practice and participating in an on call roster.

Contract Details

- Location: Theodore, QLD
- Position: Registered Nurse | Grade 5
- Contract: 31 August 2026 – 27 September 2026
- Contract Hours: 80 hours per fortnight
- On Call: Yes
- Drivers Licence: Required
- Operating Hours: Monday–Friday day shifts, Saturday & Sunday

About the Role This rural nursing opportunity will suit an RN who enjoys working in a varied clinical environment and is confident managing emergency presentations and providing care across a rural setting.

You will need to be comfortable working autonomously, responding to urgent clinical situations and supporting the broader healthcare team.

Essential Skills & Experience Candidates should have recent experience and competency in:





- Advanced Life Support – ALS1 accepted where issued by the Australian Resuscitation Council
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support
- Triage
- Resuscitation
- IV Cannulation
- Emergency Nursing
- Rural Nursing
- Ability to work autonomously in a rural hospital environment
- Ability to participate in on call requirements
