Reporting Analyst – Power BI
Initial 3 month contract

We are looking for a talented Reporting Analyst with strong Power BI skills to join our team and help turn data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, building visually engaging reports and dashboards, and partnering with stakeholders to understand what the business really needs from its reporting.
The Role
As the Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving reporting solutions across the organisation.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver accurate, user-friendly dashboards and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build data models and create effective visualisations that clearly communicate key business insights
- Develop and maintain DAX measures and calculations
- Extract, transform and prepare data for reporting and analysis
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical solutions
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and delivered within agreed timeframes
- Maintain and improve existing reporting solutions
- Assist with data quality, governance and reporting standards
- Present insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes
About You We are looking for someone who is analytical, curious and enjoys solving problems with data.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong knowledge of DAX
- Experience developing data models and interactive dashboards
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases
- Good understanding of data visualisation and reporting best practices
- Experience working with large or complex datasets
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data and insights to non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple reporting requirements
Desirable Skills Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Power BI Service
- Power Query / M
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure data services
- Data warehousing
- ETL / data integration
- Excel, including advanced formulas and PivotTables
- Power Automate
