About the role

We are seeking a Retail Assistant to join the team at Woolgoolga Mitre 10. This is a full time position based in Woolgoolga, NSW 2456. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and support to our valued customers. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming shopping experience and ensuring customers find exactly what they need. This position is vital to our retail operations and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and store success.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly upon arrival and assisting them in locating products throughout the store
- Processing customer transactions at the point of sale with accuracy and efficiency
- Providing knowledgeable product advice and recommendations to customers
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked retail environment
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously
- Assisting with stock management, including receiving, shelving and inventory checks
- Supporting promotional activities and implementing store displays
- Following health and safety procedures and store policies consistently
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues

What we're looking for

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
- Physical ability to lift, carry and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is essential




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and store operations
- A willingness to obtain a forklift license is essential.
- Must have current drivers license
