Your new team

You'll be joining the Property & Facilities team within the Finance division, working directly with the Head of Property to provide strategic leadership across our national property portfolio. This high-performing team is responsible for managing A&G;'s property and facilities operations across Sydney and Brisbane, ensuring our workplaces support our people and our business to thrive. As Risk, Compliance & Business Performance Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing robust governance frameworks, driving portfolio performance excellence, and ensuring we meet the highest standards of compliance and operational resilience.

The role

As the Risk, Compliance & Business Performance Lead, you'll be the trusted advisor to the Head of Property, responsible for establishing and overseeing the Property function's risk, compliance, governance, and business performance framework across our national portfolio. You'll provide strategic leadership in regulatory compliance, operational risk management, business continuity, governance, performance reporting, portfolio assurance, and project oversight—ensuring the Property function operates with strong governance, robust controls, transparent reporting, and disciplined execution aligned to enterprise objectives.

- Maintain and actively manage compliance obligations registers, statutory compliance programs, and oversee all audits, certifications, inspections and regulatory reporting
- Maintain enterprise-aligned Property Risk Registers and supporting risk frameworks, lead risk assessments, assurance reviews and mitigation programs, and provide clear visibility of risk exposure
- Establish and continuously improve the Property governance framework, lead delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual performance reporting, and develop KPI scorecards, dashboards and executive reporting packs
- Coordinate governance forums, steering committees and executive reviews, ensuring meetings are well-structured with documented outcomes and tracked actions
- Provide strategic portfolio insights and performance analysis to support informed decision-making by senior leadership
- Maintain oversight of strategic property initiatives and project governance, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed scope, budget and timelines
- Coordinate preparation of business cases, investment proposals and executive submissions to a high standard
- Develop, maintain and regularly review site-specific Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and Emergency Management Plans
- Maintain accurate registers for chemical, asbestos and hazardous materials, and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety legislation




- Govern and administer Protected Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Permit to Work processes
- Develop, maintain and regularly review SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and governance standards to ensure operational consistency
- Design and deliver annual audit programs and associated executive reporting, providing assurance over the effectiveness of controls, compliance obligations and governance frameworks
- Manage the governance, compliance and performance of service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and service delivery aligns with organisational standards

What Experience You'll Bring

- 8–15 years' experience across Property, Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Risk, Compliance, Governance or Business Performance

- Demonstrated experience in establishing and embedding governance, compliance and performance frameworks within complex organisational environments
- Strong capability in executive, committee and board reporting, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders
- Proven project governance and assurance experience, including oversight of delivery against agreed milestones, quality standards and compliance obligations
- Strong financial, commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to assess data and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, influence outcomes and engage credibly across all organisational levels
- Experience within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance, with an understanding of the regulatory landscape and governance expectations (desirable)
- Experience working within a Corporate Real Estate, Property or Facilities Management function (desirable)
- A strong understanding of enterprise governance, performance management and reporting frameworks
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, Property, Facilities Management, or related discipline
