This is a permanent full time position offering varied work across commercial construction, roof replacement, repairs and scheduled maintenance projects throughout Hobart and Southern Tasmania.
Key responsibilities
- Installing and replacing metal roofing and wall cladding
- Fabricating and installing flashings, box gutters, gutters and downpipes
- Diagnosing and repairing roof leaks and drainage problems
- Completing commercial roof inspections and maintenance
- Reading construction drawings and roofing specifications
- Coordinating roofing work with builders and other trades
- Ensuring work complies with Australian Standards and Tasmanian requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
- Working independently and assisting with the supervision of apprentices where required
About you
- Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Current Tasmanian roof plumbing practitioner licence
- Proven metal roofing and commercial roofing experience
- Current White Card and driver's licence
- Current Working Safely at Heights training
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People card, or willingness to obtain one
- Satisfactory National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- Experience with Colorbond roofing, cladding, flashings and box gutters
- Ability to interpret plans, measure accurately and complete work independently
