Position Overview:

As a Commis Chef, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, support daily kitchen operations in our high paced, high volume kitchen outlets, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be committed to maintaining high food quality standards, following recipes and procedures, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

About the Role:

- Assist with the preparation,



cooking, and presentation of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Support senior chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory control to minimise waste.
- Participate in receiving and checking deliveries when required.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Participating in mise en place (prep) for service periods.
- Flexibility to work across all hotel kitchens
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team with respect.

Skills and Experience:

- Passion for food and cooking.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good attitude, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work autonomously & under direction.

- Physical stamina for long periods of standing and working under pressure.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to be part of a dynamic team.
- Availability to work a flexible roster across 7 days including late nights & Public Holidays.
- You will need your own transport to get to work as we are not on a public transport route.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards it).
- Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
