We are seeking a dual-focused Safety Advisor / Leading Hand to join our client's growing multi-residential construction team in Brisbane. This role will be based in Chermside. You will split your time between driving workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives on site and hands-on trade/leading hand duties.

Health & Safety Duties:

- Conduct daily pre-starts, Tool Box Talks, and site safety inductions.
- Review and approve Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) prior to works.
- Conduct regular site hazard inspections and enforce strict PPE and compliance rules.
- Manage site safety documentation and report any incidents or hazards to the Site Manager.

Leading Hand Duties:

- Supervise a small team of workers and subcontractors on a daily basis.
- Coordinate daily work targets and ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to high-quality standards.
- Perform physical, hands-on construction duties as required.




- Act as the communication bridge between site management and the crew

About You

- Valid White Card (General Construction Induction).
- Relevant trade qualification or extensive on-site experience in multi-residential building.
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent safety qualifications (preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate).
- Proven experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role.
- Solid working knowledge of WHS legislation and practical hazard control.
- Excellent communication skills to positively influence safety culture on site.
