Berwick Village Jewellers is looking for a friendly and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our family owned team in our Berwick, VIC store. This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours. Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with product selection
- Maintaining a neat and tidy store presentation
- Processing sales transactions, including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system
- Restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed, including ticketing and display upkeep
- Maintaining and updating the customer database accurately
- Reporting to and supporting the Store Manager with general duties as required
- Working closely with our marketing department, including assisting with social media and taking photos for content
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (jewellery experience is an advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Trustworthiness, enthusiasm, dedication, and a positive attitude
- Confidence using computers and digital systems (POS, basic apps, and social media platforms)
- Experience working with customer databases is essential
- Marketing or social media experience is highly regarded
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, with Fridays and Saturdays being essential
