Captain Nemo's Pool Spa Marine is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in Helensvale, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering an exciting prospect to work in the dynamic retail and consumer products sector. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales across our pool, spa, and marine product range.
This position is based on-site at our Helensvale location, where you will be at the heart of our retail operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge to customers browsing pool and spa products
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Maintain product displays and ensure the retail environment is clean, organised and visually appealing
- Stock shelves and replenish merchandise to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Assist customers with product selection and provide expert recommendations based on their needs
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and courteously
- Support promotional activities and merchandising initiatives
- Contribute to the achievement of sales targets and store performance goals
- Maintain knowledge of current products, pricing and store policies
What we're looking for
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Cash handling experience or willingness to learn
- Physical stamina for standing for extended periods and handling products
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Product knowledge in pool, spa, or marine products is desirable but not essential
