We are currently recruiting an experienced Sand Blaster to join a well-established Australian manufacturer on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a hands-on workshop role working within a busy production environment preparing metal components for painting and finishing.
Your new role
- Abrasive blasting of steel and aluminium components
- Surface preparation including removal of rust, scale and existing coatings
- Operating blasting equipment and maintaining blast media levels
- Using grinders, wire brushes and other preparation tools as required
- Inspecting surfaces to ensure quality standards are met prior to coating
- Assisting with general workshop and manufacturing duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe work setting
- Following all WHS procedures and company standards What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Sand Blaster, Abrasive Blaster or Industrial Surface Preparation Operator
- Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial environments
- Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
- Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements
- Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling What you'll get in return
