Overview A leading ASX-listed retail organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Consultant to join a major ERP transformation program.

This is an exciting chance for a hands-on SAP FICO / S/4HANA Finance Consultant to play a key role in a large-scale transformation, working across core Finance, Controlling, Reporting, Integration, Data Migration, Testing and post-go-live support.

The initial contract is for 12 months, with strong potential for extension. The role is expected to commence in mid-September 2026, and flexible working arrangements are available.

The Opportunity

As the SAP Finance Consultant, you will work closely with Finance, Technology, project delivery teams and business stakeholders to support the design, configuration and implementation of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions across a complex enterprise retail environment.

You will contribute to workshops, requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, data validation, reconciliation, documentation, training and BAU transition activities.

This role will suit someone who is confident engaging with finance stakeholders, understands end-to-end finance processes, and has strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the implementation, configuration and enhancement of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling capabilities.

· Work with Finance and business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.

· Configure and support core Finance processes across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, Cash Management and Financial Close.

· Support Controlling processes including Cost Centre Accounting, Project Accounting, Margin Analysis, Management Accounting and Cost Allocations.

· Assist with financial reporting, embedded analytics, data validation and reconciliation activities.

· Prepare functional specifications and work with technical consultants to deliver enhancements and integrations.





· Support integration between SAP Finance and key business platforms including Sales, Procurement, Retail/POS, Payroll, Banking and Tax solutions.

· Participate in design workshops, functional testing, UAT, cutover planning and post-go-live support.

· Support data migration and reconciliation activities using SAP migration tools such as LSMW, LTMC or equivalent.

· Provide BAU support as required during and after project delivery.

Skills and Experience

· 8 years’ experience as an SAP FI/CO Consultant.

· Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance and finance transformation projects.

· Excellent hands-on configuration experience across core Finance capabilities, including:

· General Ledger, including Universal Journal

· Accounts Payable

· Accounts Receivable

· Banking and Cash Management

· Asset Accounting

· Financial Reporting and Embedded Analytics

· Financial Close

· Excellent knowledge of Controlling capabilities, including:

· Cost Centre Accounting

· Project Accounting

· Margin Analysis / Profitability Analysis

· Management Accounting

· Cost Allocations

· Good knowledge of Group Reporting and Consolidation.

· Good knowledge of Treasury Management, including Foreign Exchange.

· Strong understanding of integration between SAP FICO and:

· Sales and Distribution

· Materials Management / Procurement

· Retail / POS systems

· Payroll

· Banking platforms

· Tax solutions

· Experience preparing functional specifications and supporting technical delivery teams.

· Experience with functional testing, UAT, data migration, validation, reconciliation and go-live support.

· Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and documentation skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced transformation environment.

Retail industry experience will be highly regarded.
