Looking for SAP HR Functional Expert - Brisbane Your New Company: You will be joining a Queensland State Government department responsible for delivering essential services across the state. The organisation operates a complex SAP HR and Payroll landscape and is undertaking several strategic initiatives focused on payroll optimisation, automation, system enhancement, and continuous improvement. Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing business-critical HR and Payroll systems.

Your New Role: As the SAP HR Functional Expert, you will provide expert functional support, analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and documentation across SAP HR and Payroll modules within an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will work closely with Payroll, Human Resources, and ICT stakeholders to deliver compliant and efficient business solutions.

Responsibilities include supporting Payroll Optimisation Project initiatives, leading complex system enhancements and defect resolution activities, configuring SAP HR and Payroll solutions, supporting integration activities, producing functional and technical documentation, and providing expert advice on incident management and system stabilisation. You will also mentor internal staff and contribute to capability uplift across the organisation.

What You Will Need to Succeed: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate extensive SAP HR and Payroll experience with strong expertise in payroll support, design,



configuration, rules, and schemas. You will have proven experience analysing complex business requirements and translating them into effective SAP HR solutions.

Experience across SAP Payroll, Personnel Administration (PA), Organisational Management (OM), Personnel Development (PD), and ESS/MSS modules is highly desirable. You will possess robust testing, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities, alongside excellent communication skills.

Experience working within Queensland Government environments, SAP HR upgrades, enhancement packs, support pack implementations, and exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Datasphere, Payroll Control Centre, Off-Cycle Workbench, and SAP S/4HANA integration concepts will be highly regarded.
