Fletcher NSW About The Role The School Teacher Librarian plays a vital role in enriching teaching and learning across Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College by fostering a culture of reading, curiosity, inquiry and lifelong learning. Working collaboratively with teachers across Preschool to Year 12, the Teacher Librarian develops and manages engaging physical and digital learning environments that inspire students to read widely, think critically, research effectively and engage responsibly with information in an increasingly complex digital world.

The Teacher

Librarian supports the implementation of the College's Teaching and Learning Framework and the Learning Power Approach by providing high-quality curriculum resources, promoting information and digital literacy, and empowering students to become ethical, independent and confident learners. As a member of the teaching staff with a teaching load, the Teacher Librarian contributes to the educational, pastoral and spiritual life of the College and actively supports the Anglican ethos, vision and values of Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College About Us Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is an independent Preschool to Year 12 co-educational school providing Hunter Valley families with a globally innovative and future focused education for their children.

Essential Criteria

Qualification in Education Support,



or relevant qualification OR working towards Eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or equivalent qualifications in Teacher Librarianship.

First aid and CPR certificate
