About the role

Ironbar Saloon in Port Douglas, Queensland is seeking a friendly and experienced Security Guard/Crowd Controller to join our team. This is a casual position in an exciting hospitality setting, perfect for those who thrive in a vibrant social setting.

What you'll be doing

- Maintaining the safety and security of our patrons, staff and premises

- Monitoring the venue to identify and address any potential issues or disturbances

- Assisting with the orderly management of queues and controlling the flow of people entering and exiting the venue

- Providing excellent customer service and a warm welcome to all our guests

- Collaborating with the management team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

What we're looking for

- Prior experience as a security guard or crowd controller, preferably in the hospitality industry

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate and resolve conflicts
- A friendly,



professional and approachable demeanour

- Exceptional situational awareness and problem-solving skills

- Certification in security or crowd control (or willingness to obtain)

- A current Queensland Security Licence
