About the Role

As a Security Technician you’ll lead the configuration, integration and testing of our electronic security systems. This role may be fluid across both installation projects and service troubleshooting.

Your responsibilities will include

Technical Responsibilities

- Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system upgrades
- Support CCTV, IP surveillance, access control, intercom, and intrusion detection systems
- Install network hardware and associated technologies
- Prepare technical reports and service documentation

Project and Client Management

- Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders
- Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support
- Assist with project planning and system design
- Interpret architectural drawings
- Create cable schedules, drawings, and documentation
- Prepare minor quotations and technical recommendations
- Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications

Leadership

- Mentor apprentices, trainees, and junior technicians
- Share technical knowledge and support team development




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business

Systems Experience (Highly Regarded)

Experience with any of the following platforms will be highly advantageous:

- Avigilon

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

- Current Security Industry Licence
- Current Open Registration Licence (with relevant endorsements)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Highly Regarded

- simPRO Suite Experience
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP/Yellow Card)
- Working at Heights
- Healthcare, Government, or Education sector experience
