Digital Deluxe

Australia

Full time. Remote, Melbourne-based.

Digital Deluxe is a Melbourne digital marketing agency, 11 years in. We're full-stack digital - Google Ads, Meta ads, SEO, websites, CRM and automation - which means we're effectively our clients' whole digital marketing department, not a single-channel supplier they've bolted on. We're hiring a Senior Account Manager to own those client relationships.

Read the whole thing before you apply. This one isn't for everyone. Please note - only applicants who fill out this form will be considered; https://forms.gle/NvBTZVmiTW4nCxci6 The role

You're the main point of contact for a book of established clients, and your first job is keeping them.

Not by being pleasant to them. By being genuinely on top of their account. You know their numbers before they do. You flag the thing that's gone sideways before they notice it. You take the work our specialists do and turn it into something the client actually understands and puts a value on.

Most churn in this industry doesn't happen because the work was bad - it happens because nobody made the client feel like anyone was paying attention. Do that properly and growth tends to follow. A client who trusts you says yes when you suggest adding paid social, or rebuilding a site that's quietly costing them conversions.

That's the growth we're after - the kind that comes out of clients being genuinely well looked after. But it still needs someone who spots the opportunity and puts it in front of them, because clients almost never ask. It's remote, and that's the deal

You won't be in an office and nobody will be watching your calendar. You set your own day.

In return, we expect you to run your book like it's your own business. No chasing you for updates. No wondering whether the client's been called. No surprises in a monthly review.

That autonomy isn't a perk we hand out on day one - it's the thing you'll need to convince us you've earned. Expect to be asked how you've worked this way before and how it went. If your best work has always happened with a manager sitting nearby, this isn't the role. Small team, so expect to wear a few hats

There's no big account services layer here to pass things down to. Some weeks you're briefing a specialist and pressure-testing what comes back. Other weeks you're in the CMS making the change yourself, writing the ad copy, or pulling the report together because it's faster than waiting for someone else to. If that reads like a step backwards from your current title, this isn't the right fit. If it reads like how you'd rather work anyway, it probably is. What we're screening for

Two things: whether clients stay with you, and whether you've ever made an account bigger. The second one is where most applications fall over. Plenty of account managers are organised, well-liked, great in a meeting - and have never grown an account in their life.

So we'll ask you to walk us through one account you grew, with actual numbers: what it was worth when you picked it up, what it was worth later, and what you did to get there. If you've kept clients happy for years but can't point to that, say so plainly in the form rather than dressing something up. We'd rather read an honest answer.

Also worth knowing

Our clients are demanding and they're not tidy. One client might have four or five different people contacting you in a week about four or five different things - a page change, a question about last month's leads, a report they want explained, an idea someone saw on LinkedIn. Absorbing that and turning it into a plan is a real part of the job. If you need a quiet inbox, you'll be miserable here. You're probably a fit if

4-5+ years in a digital agency (not client-side, not in-house)

You genuinely understand SEO, Google and Meta ads, and web projects - enough to hold a technical conversation with a client without a specialist in the room

Clients stay with you, and you can talk honestly about the ones who didn't

You've grown an account and can put numbers to it

You're happy getting your hands dirty in the platforms, not just in meetings

You've worked remotely before and can show it went well

You're Melbourne-based. Our clients like knowing their contact is local, and you'll meet some of them in person occasionally. You're probably not a fit if

You're a coordinator with a senior title

Your best growth story is "the client asked for more work so we quoted it"

You want to hand all execution to someone else

You want process, a ladder, and someone else setting your priorities The offer

Competitive base depending on where you land on seniority, plus upside tied to the growth you create. Reports to the founder. Fully remote, with occasional client and team meetups around Melbourne.

We'll talk numbers on the phone screen. The form asks what you're after, so nobody wastes their time. To be considered

Fill in the form: https://forms.gle/NvBTZVmiTW4nCxci6

No resumes to an inbox - the form is the application and we read every one.
