The Prospect

This role would suit a Senior Accountant who enjoys the technical side of public practice but is ready to become more involved in managing work, supporting clients and developing others.

You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of business services work while becoming an increasingly important point of contact for clients and senior team members.

Day to day, you’ll be involved in:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- Managing recurring tax and compliance requirements
- Assisting clients with tax planning and day-to-day accounting matters
- Coordinating work across a portfolio and helping keep engagements on track
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical support
- Reviewing and supporting junior accountants
- Assisting Managers and Partners with more complex client matters
- Gaining broader exposure to advisory work as your experience develops

About You





You’ll ideally have around 3 years’ experience in Australian public practice and be comfortable working across business services and tax.

We’re looking for someone with:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Robust financial statement and tax return preparation experience
- Good knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements
- Confidence dealing directly with clients
- The ability to review work and support more junior team members
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- A desire to keep developing both technically and professionally

Applications are also welcome from strong Intermediate Accountants who are already operating at or close to Senior level.
