Our client is an established and growing accounting and business advisory practice supporting a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, professionals, investors and high-net-worth individuals. Continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join the firm in a senior, client-facing position with a genuine pathway to Manager.

This role extends well beyond traditional compliance work. Working alongside the Partners and Manager, you will take responsibility for reviewing work, managing client relationships, guiding less-experienced accountants and contributing to the continued development of the practice.

You will be supported by an established team of intermediate and junior accountants, allowing you to focus on higher-level review, advisory work, workflow management and team leadership. Key Responsibilities

Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals.

Preparing technically complex financial statements and tax returns where required.

Managing a portfolio of business clients and developing trusted, long-term advisory relationships.

Assisting clients with tax planning, business structures and broader commercial matters.

Reviewing work completed by intermediate and junior accountants.

Providing technical support, coaching and mentoring to team members.

Coordinating workflow and ensuring assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed timeframes.

Meeting directly with clients to understand their businesses, challenges and objectives.





Identifying opportunities to strengthen client outcomes and improve internal processes.

Contributing to the growth, capability and positive culture of the wider accounting team.

About

You To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally bring: At least six years of Australian public practice accounting experience.

A completed CA or CPA qualification.

Strong technical capability across Australian taxation, compliance and business advisory.

Proven experience reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.

Previous responsibility for supervising, mentoring or developing junior accountants.

Robust client relationship and communication skills.

The ability to organise competing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.

A genuine interest in progressing into a broader leadership and management role. What’s on Offer

Salary of $125,000–$145,000 per annum.
