Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, understanding business needs, and designing practical solutions that deliver measurable value.
You'll partner with stakeholders across Product and Services and the broader business to lead business analysis activities from discovery through to implementation and embedment. Using your analytical mindset and stakeholder engagement skills, you'll help shape initiatives that improve processes, technology utilisation, customer experiences, and business outcomes.
You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of business analysis capability, coaching peers, facilitating workshops, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring solutions are aligned with organisational priorities.
This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Identify, analyse and quantify business problems and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead business analysis activities across complex optimisation and transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions and process discovery sessions.
- Gather, document and manage business requirements using best practice methodologies.
- Conduct current state and future state analysis to identify process improvements and business impacts.
- Develop roadmaps, backlogs and solution recommendations aligned to business priorities.
- Assess risks, issues, costs, benefits and implementation considerations.
- Partner with stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams to support successful change outcomes.
- Provide clear reporting and visibility of analysis activities, progress and outcomes.
- Coach and mentor Business Analysts while supporting continuous improvement of the business analysis practice.
Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have extensive experience delivering business analysis outcomes within complex organisational environments.
- Your ability to elicit requirements and develop analysis artefacts such as process models and business workflows is highly developed.
- You'll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.
- You're experienced in driving business change through structured project and change methodologies.
- You can interpret technical documentation including data models, interface specifications and architecture artefacts.
- You have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and can influence outcomes across varied levels of seniority.
- Your workshop facilitation and communication skills enable productive collaboration and successful outcomes.
- You'll demonstrate experience using process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Human Centred Design or Systems Thinking.
- You're comfortable coaching and mentoring others to develop business analysis capability.
- You have experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Your background in financial services, superannuation or related industries will be highly regarded.
- You'll possess relevant business analysis qualifications such as CBAP or similar certifications.
