Work balance options, inc. potential flexible working from home arrangements Reference: 1665419 About the Role: As a Senior Business Analyst at Curtin University, you will play a key role in connecting business needs with smart, practical technology solutions that improve the way we study, teach, work and research. Working closely with Product Managers/Owners, delivery teams and stakeholders across the University, you will help shape solutions that enhance operations, support digital transformation and deliver meaningful outcomes for staff and students. In this collaborative and forward-thinking environment, your expertise in requirements management, business process analysis, data analytics, software quality assurance and Agile delivery will be highly valued.

You will translate complex challenges into clear opportunities, guide solution design and contribute to high-quality, user-focused outcomes that support Curtin’s ongoing digital evolution.

Your responsibilities will include: Act as a trusted bridge between business and technology teams, translating complex needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.

Analyse business processes, workflows and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and innovation.

Partner with Product Managers/Owners and delivery teams in an Agile environment to turn ideas into high-quality, value-driven outcomes.

Use data to tell the story - identify trends, generate insights, and support smart, evidence-based decision making.

Facilitate workshops, discussions and stakeholder engagement to understand needs, resolve challenges and support successful delivery.

Contribute to solution design, testing and quality assurance activities to ensure outcomes are fit for purpose and aligned with business priorities.

Coach and support junior team members, helping to embed consistent business analysis standards, tools and ways of working across the team.

Who we are looking for (Selection Criteria): Extensive experience analysing, documenting and mapping business processes, requirements and workflows to support effective solution design.

Strong project management capability, with experience planning, coordinating and delivering outcomes within agreed timelines, budgets and resource constraints.

Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify improvement opportunities and support process or system redesign.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage,



consult and build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Robust written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear business cases, reports, requirements documentation and project materials.

Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Knowledge and experience with Cloud platforms, such as AWS and Microsoft Desirable: Understanding of software development lifecycles, ICT standards and contemporary digital delivery practices.

Experience working within the higher education sector or another complex, service-focused environment.

AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or an interest in developing cloud capability.

Experience using digital collaboration and whiteboarding tools such as Miro and Figma.

Recognised Agile or SAFe certification, or practical experience working in Agile delivery environments.
