Company Description Pentana Stanton Lawyers is a multidisciplinary law firm providing services across commercial litigation.

Location: Lonsdale St City or Dandenong Office | Full-time or Part-time | $160K - $180K

Role Description The Senior Commercial Litigation Associate will manage a portfolio of complex commercial disputes, including contractual claims, shareholder disputes, insolvency-related matters, and debt recovery proceedings. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence; conducting detailed legal research; preparing and attending court hearings; and managing discovery and evidence.

The role involves liaising with clients and counsel, developing case strategies, and participating in settlement negotiations and mediations. This is a full time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, requiring regular interaction with clients, courts, and internal teams.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in commercial Law , with demonstrated experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions , pleadings,



and other court documents in commercial matters.
- Advanced research skills, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and preparation of legal opinions.
- Experience conducting and managing depositions , witness interviews, and evidence preparation.
- Confidence in appearing before various courts , managing hearings, and working with barristers and experts.
- Admission to practice law in Australia and a current Australian practising certificate.
- Minimum several years’ experience in commercial litigation, ideally within a reputable law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and work effectively under time constraints.
- Strong client relationship skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive, collaborative working style.
