Senior Creative Producer – YouTube, Film & Entertainment ? Sydney, Australia | Full-Time / Part-time | Travel Required
Help us build the next chapter of Nick & Carrie. Nick & Carrie are one of Australia’s largest creator brands, with a global community of 29M followers across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
We’ve spent years creating content watched by millions around the world. Now, we want to go bigger.
We’re looking for an experienced, highly creative and hands-on senior creative producer who understands the creator world and can help us scale our long-form YouTube content while building towards web series, short films, scripted content and larger entertainment productions.
This is not a desk-only Producer role.
You’ll develop ideas, produce shoots, manage productions, and regularly pick up the camera and film alongside Nick & Carrie.
We’re looking for someone who can take:
“What if we did this?”
and turn it into:
Idea → Story → Production → Shoot → Post → Great Video.
WHAT YOU’LL DO You’ll work closely with Nick & Carrie and our wider creative team to:
- Develop original, highly clickable long-form YouTube concepts
- Turn rough ideas into structured, shoot-ready formats
- Build strong hooks, stakes, challenges, escalation, surprises and payoffs
- Research trends, formats and opportunities across YouTube and the creator ecosystem
- Create treatments, run sheets, schedules, call sheets and production budgets
- Source and manage locations, talent, crew, props, permits and suppliers
- Own pre-production and ensure shoots are properly prepared
- Lead productions confidently from start to finish
- Personally film Nick & Carrie when required
- Shoot high-quality run-and-gun, travel, lifestyle and documentary-style footage
- Operate professional mirrorless/cinema cameras, gimbals, audio equipment and basic lighting setups
- Know when to put down the production clipboard and pick up the camera
- Capture spontaneous moments without needing to be told
- Troubleshoot quickly when things inevitably change
- Work closely with editors on storytelling, pacing and audience retention
- Review finished content and identify what can make the next video better
- Help build scalable production systems as our content becomes more ambitious
- Travel domestically and internationally for productions
- Eventually help develop and produce web series, short films and larger scripted and unscripted entertainment projects
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR You might currently be a Senior Producer, Creative Producer, YouTube Producer, Shooter/Producer or Development Producer.
Your title matters less than what you’ve actually made.
Ideally, you have 4 years of relevant professional experience and have independently owned substantial productions.
Experience working with YouTubers, creators, digital-first production companies, entertainment channels or fast-moving production studios is highly desirable.
You should understand that producing for creators is different from traditional television or advertising.
Sometimes the best moment wasn’t on the call sheet.
Sometimes the entire plan changes halfway through the day.
Sometimes a beautifully shot scene needs to be cut because it simply isn’t entertaining.
You need the creative judgment to understand that.
YOU’LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS ROLE IF... You’re obsessed with storytelling and entertainment.
You understand why people click and why they keep watching.
You’re highly organised but don’t need everything to go according to plan.
You can confidently manage a crew and confidently operate a camera.
You see problems coming before everyone else does.
You can take a rough voice note from Nick or Carrie and turn it into an actual production.
You’re comfortable travelling around the world with a small team and getting the shot without needing a 20-person crew.
You want to make great YouTube videos today but have ambitions to eventually make shows, series and films.
And most importantly, you take ownership.
We don’t want someone waiting to be told every next step.
We want someone who sees the next five steps coming.
THIS ROLE PROBABLY ISN’T FOR YOU IF... You’re looking for your first production job.
Your experience is primarily assisting other producers rather than owning productions yourself.
You only want to shoot and aren’t interested in producing.
You only want to produce and don’t want to pick up a camera.
Or you understand traditional filmmaking but haven’t taken the time to understand YouTube and creator-led entertainment.
HOW TO APPLY Please don’t send us just a CV.
We want to understand what you’ve made, how you think and what you could bring to Nick & Carrie.

We’re building a creative production operation around Nick & Carrie with ambitions beyond social media.
The right person will have the opportunity to grow with us as we move into bigger YouTube productions, international projects, original IP, web series, short films, and scripted entertainment.
