Verandah Brands is a house of renovation brands, including TileCloud, Yabby, Dawn and Verandah Trade.
Our mission is simple: renovating can be overwhelming, and we exist to make it easier. We are in an exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for someone who wants to build a demand and supply planning function for the future – AI enabled, scalable and exception based. This role reports to the Senior Manager Supply Chain and owns the planning function end to end — demand, supply, inventory strategy and the S&OP; cycle — and is accountable for the cadence that keeps Supply Chain, Finance, Revenue and Product aligned.
About you
You have strong demand planning, supply planning or S&OP; experience, but you are also commercially curious and energised by the idea of building something that does not yet exist in its full form.
You think in systems. You understand that forecast accuracy, fill rate and days of cover are not just numbers to report — they are signals that reveal how well the business is making decisions. You are comfortable working at the SKU level and at the executive level, and you know how to connect the two.
You enjoy taking something manual, reactive or invisible and turning it into something structured, repeatable and measurable. You are highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable holding cross-functional stakeholders accountable where your own deliverables depend on it.
You are proactive, analytically rigorous and ownership-driven. You thrive in an environment where not everything is already built, and you get energy from designing the process, rhythm and tools that make the function better over time.
You are excited about what AI and agentic planning can do for supply chain, and you actively explore new forecasting methodologies, systems and ways of working rather than waiting to be told. What you own
Demand planning
Own SKU and channel-level demand forecasting across DTC, Trade, Retail and Showroom — building a demand plan that reflects commercial reality, not just historical averages
Translate sales and marketing inputs into a forward-looking demand signal; incorporate inputs from Revenue and Product on campaigns, launches, range changes and sales events
Build launch forecasts for new SKUs in partnership with the Product team, with the same rigour as existing range; validate launch volumes before commitment
Monitor forecast vs actual and use accuracy and bias metrics to continuously improve models over time Supply planning and working capital
Convert the demand plan into a supply plan across suppliers and lead times — right inventory, right time, right quantities
Define buy quantities and timing aligned to working capital targets; surface trade-offs clearly when demand and capital are in tension
Own inventory strategy across Verandah brands — centralised vs distributed model, depth vs breadth by category, safety stock logic per channel
Partner with Finance on the cash flow impact of buying decisions; track and report inventory turns, days of cover and stock health
Build a documented, repeatable inventory strategy that is less dependent on individual judgement S&OP; implementation and ownership
Own S&OP; cadence and governance across all Verandah brands (Tilecloud, Yabby, Dawn) — run a monthly cycle that brings Supply Chain, Finance, Revenue and Product into alignment on revenue and open-to-buy
Own the meeting structure, inputs required from each function, agenda and outputs
Produce an approved sales and purchase plan aligned with open-to-buy envelope, ready to hand to Procurement
Hold stakeholders accountable for delivering what the process requires; improve the cadence as the business scales Planning analytics and KPI reporting
Own the metrics framework — forecast accuracy and bias, fill rate, stock-out rate, days of cover, inventory turns
Present planning performance to manager and leadership with context and recommendations, not just numbers
Run continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function; identify cost optimisation opportunities through better demand signal
Supported by Technology & AI teams, build self-serve dashboards and reporting tools that surface the right signals, reduce manual data pulls and speed up decisions AI, systems and automation
Actively leverage AI across all areas — forecast modelling, anomaly detection, automated reporting, scenario planning
Create a forecasting demand and supply engine we can actually trust utilising AI, where the planner manages by exception and feeds it promos/launches rather than rebuilding forecasts by hand
Own the Netstock (or alternate) planning system configuration so demand and supply planning runs from the system, not around it
Replace manual effort with smarter systems: better visibility, faster escalation, stronger data driven decisions What Success Looks Like
You will be doing this role well when:
The business has a clear forward view of demand, supply, availability, inventory cover and inventory risk
Replenishment decisions are made early, clearly and based on structured planning logic
Forecasts are reviewed regularly and demonstrably improved over time
Out-of-stock and pre-order risks are identified before they become urgent
Purchase requirements are clear, prioritised and actioned
Excess and slow-moving stock are visible and actively managed
Inventory decisions balance sales, customer experience and working capital
Stakeholders receive clear planning updates that help them make decisions
Systems and planning data become more accurate and trusted, fed by multiple data points What you will bring to the role
Hands-on experience in demand planning, supply planning or S&OP;, ideally in e-commerce, retail, consumer goods or a product-led business.
Proven experience in demand forecasting, supply planning or inventory management at a SKU level
Experience running or contributing to an S&OP; or equivalent cross-functional planning process
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate forecast outputs into working capital and cash flow implications
Confidence working with data, ERP systems, planning tools and reporting platforms A track record of building or improving planning processes, not just operating within them
Genuine excitement for AI and automation, with practical experience applying both to planning or operations
Robust communication skills and the ability to present inventory and planning outputs clearly to finance, commercial, customer service and executive stakeholders
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across SKUs, channels and timelines A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment About Verandah Brands
We are a house of renovation brands building toward $100M+ in profitable scale.
We run five brands across two sides of the business: TileCloud (tiles), Yabby (tapware), Dawn (lighting) and Verandah Retail (complete rooms) selling direct to renovators, and Verandah Trade, our B2B platform supplying builders and trade professionals. Trade is the single biggest growth opportunity in the group.
Our mission is simple: renovating can be overwhelming, and we exist to make it easier. We are scaling the brands, systems, team and operating rhythms required to support a much larger business.
Four values hold our house together: Simplicity, Curiosity, Always Learning, and Moving Forward with Momentum. In practice that means fewer hoops and smarter tools, asking questions before jumping to solutions, treating everyone as a work in progress, and starting before things are perfect. Progress beats perfection every time. How to apply
We know few people read a list like this and tick every line. If you tick most of the boxes, we’d still love to hear from you. We read every application ourselves, and we’d rather have the conversation than miss you over one bullet point.
