Overview

Job Description—We're looking for a hands-on Handyperson / Trade Assistant to help maintain and improve our diverse facilities across Southport Sharks, Mantra at Sharks Hotel, Health Club and our extensive club operations.

No two days are the same. One day you might be repairing a wall, replacing ceiling tiles or painting a room. The next, you'll be assisting with minor building works, supporting trades, moving equipment, or helping prepare our facilities for major events.

Responsibilities

- General repairs and maintenance across the Club, Hotel and Health Club
- Painting, patching, tiling and basic carpentry tasks
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance projects
- Responding to maintenance requests and facility issues
- Supporting venue presentation and upkeep standards
- Helping maintain a secure and welcoming environment for members, guests and team members, Work across one of Queensland's largest hospitality and entertainment precincts

About the Candidate

- Practical maintenance or trade assistant experience
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
- Experience in painting, patching, basic tiling and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A trade qualification or apprenticeship experience will be highly regarded but not required
