Join a fast-growing global engineering consultancy and deliver high-impact solutions across data centre projects. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role is part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for providing sound technical design support on mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Compile specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents as per client/project requirements.
Maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
Contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support.
Provide information to build budgets for clients based on their specifications.
Liaise with the Client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships.
Provide electrical or mechanical engineering services design for buildings and infrastructure.
Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process,
maintain planning and cost control on all scopes.
Other reasonable duties as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Chartered status or membership with Engineers Australia, CIBSE, IET, or similar professional body preferred.
Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consulting engineering environment.
Strong experience delivering mission critical and/or data centre projects.
Solid understanding of LV/HV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical electrical infrastructure.
Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant electrical codes and regulations.
Proficient in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Cymap, ETAP, or PowerCAD.
Experience producing design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
Robust stakeholder management, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers. What's In It For You
