The Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Sustainability & Corporate Services, this role is responsible for leading the delivery of high‑quality environmental approvals in support of Peak's development.

The Senior Environment & Approvals Advisor role provides senior technical leadership in the planning and delivery of environmental approvals across Peak Iron’s projects. The role is responsible for coordinating environmental assessment activities, guiding specialist consultants and ensuring environmental risks, conditions and requirements are effectively incorporated into project development and design. Working collaboratively with project teams, engineers and technical specialists, the role provides practical environmental advice to support informed decision-making, regulatory compliance and the timely progression of projects.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

- Driving environmental approvals, leading the coordination of document development,



including management of consultants

- Leading engagement with government agencies, regulators, and other external stakeholders when relevant to ensure outcomes are achieved for approval processes.

- Providing expert advice on environmental matters to internal teams and management.

- Supporting environmental compliance of the company through assisting in the preparation of environmental reports to government bodies

- Contributing to the development and improvement of the company's Environmental Management System, including management plans, policies and procedures

- Managing and mitigating environmental and community-related risks through liaison with the Stakeholder Relationship Manager.

- Assisting in various operational projects and initiatives as directed by management

About You:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or equivalent

- 10 years of experience in approvals related roles

- Experience leading projects related to environment impact assessment and approvals

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team and across departments

- Experience solving complex problems and has strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

- Skills in maintaining and tracking key deadlines for compliance and approvals

- Robust report writing skills

- Ability to manage technical consultants and subcontractors required for tenure applications and ongoing environmental compliance

- Knowledge of mining legislation, with an understanding of the mining approvals processes and legislative requirements of relevant government departments (state and federal) involved in the approvals process

- Experience with GIS and data analysis.

Particular Requirements:

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Woomera Prohibited Area Defence Approval

- Ability to travel to remote sites and engage with site teams

- Drivers Licence
