Experienced Financial Adviser – Norwest
Salary Range - $110,000 - $130,000 + Superannuation
Are you an experienced Financial Adviser looking for more than simply managing a client book?
Would you like to join an established and progressive advice business entering an exciting phase of growth, technology investment, and business transformation?
Nationwide Financial is a well-established financial planning business located in Norwest of Sydney. We have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice and service to our clients and are now investing in the next stage of the business.
This includes expanding our advice capability, implementing new technology, improving our systems, and creating greater capacity for sustainable growth.
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and entrepreneurial Financial Adviser to join our team.
This opportunity will suit an adviser who can confidently inherit and manage established client relationships, while also thinking beyond the traditional servicing role. We are looking for someone who wants to help grow a business, develop new opportunities, improve the way advice is delivered and contribute to the future direction of the practice.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for an established portfolio of valued client relationships, providing strategic advice and ongoing service while identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships.
Importantly, this is not intended to be a purely technical or maintenance-focused position.
The successful adviser will bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the role. You will be encouraged to build referral relationships, generate new business, identify opportunities, contribute ideas, and help develop systems that allow the practice to grow without compromising the quality of its advice or client experience.
You will work closely with an experienced leadership and support team and play an important role in the continued development of Nationwide Financials’ advice division.
Key Responsibilities
- Inherit,
manage and develop an established portfolio of client relationships.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide high-quality strategic financial advice tailored to each client’s circumstances, goals, and priorities.
- Conduct client review meetings and identify additional advice and service opportunities.
- Generate new business through client referrals, professional partnerships, and personal networks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with accountants, mortgage brokers, and other referral partners.
- Manage prospective clients through the full advice process, from initial discovery through to implementation and ongoing service.
- Take ownership of opportunities and contribute to the commercial growth of the business.
- Work collaboratively with the leadership, advice, and support teams to improve the client experience.
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, capacity, systems, and the way advice is delivered.
- Embrace and support the implementation of new technology and business processes.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all advice and documentation meet regulatory and professional standards.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Possess
- Proven experience as a Financial Adviser within an Australian financial planning practice.
- Relevant qualifications and current eligibility to provide personal financial advice.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality advice and positive client outcomes.
- The confidence and relationship skills to inherit and manage established client relationships.
- An entrepreneurial and commercially focused mindset.
- A demonstrated willingness to generate new business and develop referral relationships.
- The ability to recognise opportunities and take responsibility for progressing them.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to balance excellent client service with the commercial needs of a growing practice.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the broader success of the business.
- Curiosity about technology, systems, and better ways of working.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using financial planning software and CRM systems.
The Person We Are Looking For
You may already be a successful adviser but feel constrained by a role that is heavily focused on servicing, administration or maintaining the status quo.
You enjoy advising clients, but you also want the opportunity to create, improve, and grow.
You are comfortable taking ownership, developing relationships, and turning ideas into action. You understand that a strong advice business is built through excellent client outcomes, disciplined processes, effective teamwork, and a consistent flow of new opportunities.
You do not need to own the business to think like an owner.
Benefits In return, Nationwide Financial offers:
- An established portfolio of client relationships to manage and develop.
- The opportunity to join a successful business entering a significant growth phase.
- Genuine scope to generate new business and contribute to the future direction of the practice.
- Support from an experienced leadership, practice management, and administration team.
- Investment in technology, systems, and improved advice delivery.
- Professional development and opportunities to expand your commercial and leadership capability.
- A team-oriented, supportive and professional working environment.
- A long-term career opportunity within an established Norwest practice.
- The opportunity to help build a stronger, more efficient, and more valuable advice business.
