The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to step into a technical leadership role within our business. You'll take ownership of complex projects, set the technical direction for our geotechnical work, and play a key role in mentoring our engineers as they continue to grow. This is a genuine opportunity to shape the technical backbone of a growing consultancy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as technical lead across our geotechnical projects, setting and upholding technical standards
- Lead and deliver geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design
- Conduct site inspections and manage field programs
- Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and documentation
- Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and provide clear, practical advice
- Contribute to business development and help strengthen client relationships
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
- 8+ years' relevant experience in geotechnical consulting or engineering
- NER (National Engineering Register) certification, or eligibility to obtain NER certification in short term
- Strong technical capability in soil/rock mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability
- Proven experience in project management and client engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for practical, real-world engineering
