What You'll Do As a Health, Safety & Security (HSS) Specialist, you will partner with operational teams across Midstream & Energy Solutions to drive a solid safety culture, manage operational risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements. You will provide expert advice and hands-on support across a diverse range of assets and activities, helping to protect our people, assets, and setting.
Key Responsibilities Include Providing specialist HSS advice, coaching and support to leaders, employees, contractors and operational teams.
Partnering with operations and maintenance teams through field engagement, risk assessments, verification activities and safe work practice initiatives.
Leading and participating in audits, inspections, assurance activities and contractor performance reviews.
Supporting incident management processes, including investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions and regulatory reporting.
Developing and improving HSS procedures, standards, systems and performance reporting.
Supporting Safety Case,
environmental and regulatory approval processes.
What You'll Bring You're a cooperative HSE professional with experience in high-risk operational environments and a passion for safety excellence.
Experience in health and safety within oil and gas, major hazard facilities, or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Experience supporting operations, maintenance activities and contractor management.
Incident investigation skills, including ICAM, TapRoot® or similar methodologies.
Audit, inspection and assurance experience.
Knowledge of HSS management systems, Safety Cases and relevant industry standards.
Strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills.
A tertiary qualification in Safety, Health & Environment or a related discipline.
