Be the Council’s first point of contact for information management Camberwell location, full time ongoing role $87,101 - $100,905 salary per annum (Plus super and RDO) Great opportunity to be the first point of contact for Council regarding information and records management. A little bit about the role Reporting to the Team Leader Information Management, the Senior Information Management Officer supports the Information Management Team to assist and enhance information governance and records management practices and provide high quality support and advice to the organisation.

The Senior Information Management

Officer has a key role in ensuring Council’s information assets are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle, supporting compliance and relevant legislative requirements, improving processes and enabling informed decision making.

Key responsibilities include~ The provision of expert advice on information management, records management, and information governance. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, frameworks, standards, and procedures. Lead information management improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and organisational requirements. Monitor information governance risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Support the management and optimisation of electronic document and records management systems.

Deliver training, guidance, and support to staff across the organisation. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and promote a culture of information accountability. Contribute to audits, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.

A little bit about you You will have demonstrated experience in information management, records management,



or information governance with sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practice principles. You will be experienced in the development and implementation of information management frameworks and processes, and have excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities. You will possess experience working with electronic document and records management systems and have the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
