About the role:

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for Senior Lawyer to join a highly regarded national legal practice in a senior and influential position.

This role will suit an accomplished litigator who enjoys taking ownership of complex matters and client relationships, but is equally motivated by the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers, contribute to the growth of a practice and continue developing their own leadership capability.

Working closely with the Practice Group Leader, you will have significant autonomy over your matters and play an important role in delivering high-quality outcomes for clients, while contributing more broadly to the performance and development of the team.

The Opportunity:

- Take ownership of a complex and varied caseload,



developing and executing legal strategy from inception through to resolution.
- Independently manage client relationships, providing clear advice around strategy, risk and likely outcomes.
- Work closely with counsel, medical professionals and other external stakeholders on complex matters.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and support staff, providing both technical guidance and broader career development.
- Undertake file reviews and contribute to maintaining consistently high standards of legal practice.
- Play an active role in business development and practice growth, helping develop current client and referral opportunities.
- Enjoy genuine autonomy and decision-making responsibility while working closely with experienced senior practitioners.

About You: You will be an experienced lawyer with approximately 7+ years' post-admission experience, strong litigation and case-management capability and the confidence to independently manage complex matters.

Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively and have a genuine interest in coaching and developing others. You'll be commercially minded, an effective communicator and someone who can build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders while remaining composed when dealing with complex or time-sensitive matters.
