Sydney | Full-Time or 4-Day Week | Design-Led Practice | Large-Scale Integrated Projects An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Interior Designer / Project Lead to join a highly regarded, design-led architecture and interiors practice in Sydney.
This is a senior-level project leadership position for an ambitious Interior Designer who is ready to take ownership of complex, large-scale integrated projects, lead teams and contribute meaningfully to design outcomes. You’ll be joining a studio where design is at the heart of everything it does and where experienced designers are encouraged to bring ideas, challenge thinking and contribute to the wider design conversation.
The Role: As Senior Interior Designer / Project Lead, you will be responsible for developing and facilitating design of the highest quality, contributing to outstanding project outcomes from concept through to completion. You’ll work collaboratively across all project stages, taking a lead role in design development, documentation and delivery while managing project requirements, clients, consultants and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of projects from concept through to completion , across design development, documentation and delivery stages
- Take responsibility for achieving high-quality design outcomes aligned with the studio’s design objectives
- Lead and coordinate project teams, providing direction and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Investigate, identify and creatively resolve complex technical and design issues
- Evaluate design solutions and understand their strengths, limitations and implications
- Liaise with and coordinate consultants to ensure successful project delivery
- Produce and oversee high-quality documentation in Revit
- Manage project planning, organisation, resourcing and timeframes
- Attend site inspections and respond to RFIs throughout delivery
- Review shop drawings and maintain design intent through construction
- Communicate project resource requirements effectively
- Mentor and support junior and emerging designers
- Contribute to a strong, collaborative and design-focused studio culture
About You We’re looking for an experienced Interior Designer who combines exceptional design capability with strong project and team leadership skills.
You’ll ideally bring
- 8+ years' professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture
- Experience working on large-scale, integrated projects
- Proven experience taking projects from concept through to delivery
- Strong project leadership and team leadership capabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of interior design, documentation and project delivery
- Solid Revit documentation experience
- The ability to identify and resolve design and technical issues creatively and efficiently
- Experience coordinating consultants and managing project interfaces
- Strong client management and communication skills
- A relevant qualification in Interior Design or Architecture
- Excellent organisation, resourcefulness and time-management skills
