Alfabet | Recruitment + Search is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Manager, Technology Supplier Strategy on an initial 12-month FTC. Our client is investing in the next evolution of their approach to technology supplier management. This is about maturity, not remediation – building on existing capability to create a more strategic approach to maximising value, strengthening resilience and ensuring alignment across their technology supplier portfolio.

We are looking for someone who can move the conversation beyond “did we negotiate a good deal?” towards questions like “do we have the right mix of suppliers and services in our portfolio to deliver our short and long-term technology strategy? If not, why not. And what should we do differently?”

The role is as much about strategy, judgement and enterprise decision-making as it is supplier performance.

You do not necessarily need to come from a traditional procurement background (although many of the skills are directly transferable). Relevant experience could come from strategic vendor management, technology supplier management, procurement, consulting, technology commercial roles or the supplier-side.

What are we looking for?

- Technology supplier fluency You understand major enterprise technology suppliers across software, cloud, infrastructure, managed services, cyber, data, AI and digital platforms, and can engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
- Strategic supplier / vendor management experience This is more than contract administration and you are someone who has managed important supplier relationships, shaped supplier strategy,



run senior governance and challenged performance.
- A value and simplification mindset You can identify duplication, consolidation opportunities, underperformance and areas where an organisation can get more value from its supplier landscape.
- Executive influence You can take complex supplier, risk, commercial and technology information and turn it into a clear recommendation for senior stakeholders. You are also comfortable constructively challenging both suppliers and internal teams.
- Enterprise judgement You understand that the right answer is rarely just a question of dollars and cents. You can balance value, risk, resilience, architecture, customer impact and broader organisational priorities.

This is a senior individual-contributor role (0 direct reports), so we are looking for someone with established experience and the confidence to operate with senior stakeholders. Experience in APRA-regulated financial services or another large, regulated enterprise environment would be highly regarded.
