About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to join our team and help lead the next phase of growth for the Dendy Cinemas business.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing to drive admissions, customer engagement, membership growth, and brand awareness across the Dendy Cinema circuit nationally.
This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimisation of integrated marketing campaigns spanning film releases, Distributor campaigns, cinema experiences, loyalty, food & beverage, and wider brand campaigns.
The role also oversees Dendy Cinemas' social media function, providing strategic direction for content, community engagement, paid social activity, and audience growth across key digital platforms.
This is a rapid-paced and highly collaborative role suited to a senior marketer with cinema, entertainment, and/or customer-led brand experience who thrives balancing strategic planning with hands-on leadership and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Management, Campaign Planning & Delivery
- Work with the Head of Marketing to establish and manage the annual cinema strategic plan and budget.
- Lead the end- to- end planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across all Dendy Cinema locations.
- Develop campaign plans for film releases, seasonal promotions, premium experiences, food & beverage, membership and key commercial initiatives.
- Lead the strategic direction of Dendy Cinemas social media presence, ensuring organic and paid social activity supports broader marketing, commercial, and brand objectives.
- Manage campaign timelines, budgets and delivery to ensure activity is executed on time and achieves commercial objectives.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to optimise results.
2. Film & Brand Marketing
- Work closely with the Programming team to develop marketing plans for priority film releases and special events.
- Partner with the Social Media Executive and wider marketing team to ensure social content, campaign messaging, and audience engagement activities are aligned with marketing priorities and brand positioning.
- Build effective relationships with film distributors and content partners to maximise promotional opportunities.
- Ensure all campaigns are delivered consistently and reflect Dendy's premium brand positioning.
- Monitor ticket sales and campaign performance for priority film releases and special events, using available data and insights to measure effectiveness and optimise future marketing activity.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Digital Marketing, Partnerships, Creative Services and Cinema Operations to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
- Lead campaign planning meetings and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on priorities, timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare clear campaign briefs and oversee campaign implementation across all customer touchpoints.
- Liaise with Cinema General Managers to provide direction and support for cinema events, specific film campaigns and promotional activities.
4. Audience Growth
- Support initiatives that drive admissions, customer engagement, loyalty and revenue growth.
- Use campaign insights, customer data and market trends to improve marketing performance and identify new opportunities.
5. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor and develop direct reports, including the Social Media Executive, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture that delivers innovative, audience-focused marketing and social media outcomes.
- Manage workflow,
campaign priorities and external agency relationships where required.
- Provide strategic oversight of social media content, community management, influencer activity, and paid social campaigns, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for audience growth and engagement.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, cinema teams and external partners to ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Perform other duties as required in line with business needs.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, within cinema exhibition, and film, entertainment, media, or customer-led brands.
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
- Strong understanding of cinema audiences, theatrical release cycles, and entertainment marketing.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creativity, customer engagement, and business outcomes.
- Experience across ATL, digital, CRM, partnerships, experiential events, and earned media.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content marketing, paid social advertising, audience engagement, and performance measurement across key platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance, audience insights, and commercial results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- And most importantly: a genuine love of film, cinema culture, and audience experiences.
