Senior Network & Firewall Engineer – Check Point

$150,000 - $160,000 + Super

Our client are partnering with a leading enterprise organisation seeking a Senior Network & Firewall Engineer with solid, hands-on Check Point Next-Generation Firewall experience.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on enterprise firewall architecture, migrations and complex network infrastructure from planning and design through to implementation, including production and DR migrations.

What You'll Do

- Design, configure and implement Check Point firewall environments
- Deliver complex enterprise firewall migrations and cutovers
- Manage environments via Check Point Security Management / SmartConsole
- Work across HA/clustered environments
- Configure and troubleshoot static and dynamic routing
- Develop migration, implementation and rollback plans
- Troubleshoot complex firewall, routing, NAT and VPN issues
- Manage changes through formal enterprise change processes
- Produce clear technical documentation and implementation plans




- Participate in planned after-hours migrations

What We're Looking For Strong Check Point experience is essential, including:

- Check Point Gaia / SmartConsole / Security Management
- Check Point HA and clustering
- Enterprise firewall migrations
- Static and dynamic routing (BGP/OSPF or similar)
- NAT, VPN and firewall policies
- Production and DR environments
- Complex network troubleshooting
- Change management and technical documentation

Highly Regarded

- Check Point certifications (CCSA/CCSE)
- Large-scale firewall migration experience
- Fortinet, Palo Alto or Cisco firewall experience
- MSP, Systems Integrator or Consulting background
- Enterprise/data-centre networking experience
