An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a growing professional services firm. This role will see you manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, providing technical payroll expertise and acting as a key point of contact for complex queries and escalations.

The Role:

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of external clients

- Process complex payroll calculations, including Awards, EBAs, terminations and leave

- Complete payroll reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting

- Manage superannuation, payroll tax and STP obligations

- Act as a key escalation point for complex payroll queries and issues

- Build strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders

- Identify and escalate payroll risks and compliance issues

- Contribute to process improvement and payroll system optimisation

- Provide guidance,



support and mentoring to Payroll Officers and Specialists

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and best practice

About You:

- 5+ years’ payroll experience

- Experience managing multiple external clients within public practice

- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and Awards

- Experience with MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks

- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- High attention to detail
- The ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
