Thrive Physio Plus

Highgate

The short version

We're an established private practice in Highgate, seeing close to 500 clients a week. We've just expanded to a 10-room clinic with a full on-site rehabilitation gym.

We're looking for a physiotherapist with five or more years' experience who wants their next role to include mentoring and clinical leadership — not as a vague future promise, but as part of the job from early on.

You'd be joining an existing Clinical Supervisor, a Practice Manager, an involved ownership team, and a team of senior and associate physios.

How the money works

We'll be direct about this, because most ads aren't.

Guaranteed base of $85,000–$95,000 depending on experience, plus performance incentives. Super is on top of everything.

The base is a floor, not a description of the job. What our team actually earns:

- Physios at the 5–6 year mark: $115,000 – $130,000 + super
- Our senior physios: $130,000 – $145,000 + super
- Progression into the Clinical Supervisor role: approximately $150,000 + super

One of our highest-earning clinicians is two years out of university. The model rewards caseload and outcomes, not time served. We'll walk you through the full structure at first interview — base, thresholds, percentages, the lot.

Strong earnings shouldn't come at the cost of clinical quality or a sustainable week, and our model is built accordingly.

What the week actually looks like

- 60-minute initial consults, 30-minute follow-ups — time to assess and reason properly
- Protected non-clinical hours each week for mentoring, planning and PD
- Saturday roster starting at 1 in 2,

reducing to 1 in 4 from 12 months and 1 in 6 as the team grows. Saturdays are how clinicians build a caseload quickly here, and the load lightens as your weekday book fills
- $1,000 annual PD budget
- Scope to build a special interest area — we already run golf and TPI screening, vestibular and vertigo, jaw physio, women's and pelvic health, and running amongst other specialties.

The leadership side Our Clinical Supervisor role is real work with real influence: mentoring associate physios, supporting clinical reasoning, contributing to team PD, and helping hold the standard across the clinic.

We'd expect your first six to 12 months to be about getting established and aligned — building your caseload, learning our clinical model, getting to know the team. Mentoring involvement starts inside that period, not after it. Formal supervisory responsibility, and the step up in earnings that comes with it, follows once you're settled and it's clearly right for both of us.

We'll be specific about what that looks like when we talk. You won't be the only experienced clinician carrying it either — you'd be working alongside our current supervisor, not replacing them.

Who we think this suits

You're already the person colleagues come to for a second opinion. You can make a complex presentation make sense to a client in ninety seconds. You like the clinical work and don't want to leave it — you just want your week to involve more than your own appointment list.

You'll need

- Five or more years' clinical experience and current AHPRA registration
- A track record of building and holding a solid caseload
- Genuine enjoyment of mentoring and developing other clinicians
- Comfort working within a shared clinical model while bringing your own strengths
- Commercial awareness, without being sales-driven

About us Thrive Physio Plus opened in 2018. We've built our reputation on high-quality care and genuine long-term client relationships, and our clinical model runs in three stages:

Resolve — help clients understand what's happening and get meaningful relief

Restore — rebuild movement, strength and confidence

Thrive — build resilience so they stay active long term

We're a team that takes the work seriously and ourselves considerably less so. Regular team training, clinical discussion, a decent amount of laughing, and the occasional celebration that runs later than planned.

Want to talk first?

Most people right for this role aren't actively looking. If that's you, email me and we'll organise a confidential chat — outside work hours is fine, and it goes no further.

Otherwise, send your CV and a short note about what you're looking for to [email protected]
