The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. About the role:

The Senior Policy Officer, Specialist Care Reform, will support the identification, development and implementation of initiatives to reform the specialist care system, whilst building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders who represent a workforce, consumer and government lens. Specifically, this position will contribute to the implementation of the Specialist Care Reform Blueprint.

About you:

- Experience and expertise in health systems, government processes, stakeholder consultation, policy design, and program implementation.
- A high performing team member comfortable working in complex policy spaces, with strong skills in policy development, written and verbal communication, analysis and problem-solving, project management and product development.
- A proactive self-starter with a strong understanding of government processes and an ability to lead work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment.
- High levels of adaptability, and are able to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management, or health administration would be desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in government, health sector and/or health service delivery would be desirable.
