Job Description
AJs Total Truck Gear / Kentweld Bullbars is a well-established, family-owned Australian manufacturing business with an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and customer service. We are looking for an experienced and organized Bookkeeper to join our team.

About the Role
/n
Reporting directly to Management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily bookkeeping functions, and ensuring all financial obligations are completed accurately and on time.
/n
The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and experience using Xero Accounting Software.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Manage the company's day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
/n
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
/n
- Prepare and issue customer invoices.
/n
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and loan accounts.
/n
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
/n
- Process supplier invoices and schedule payments in conjunction with the Purchasing Officer.
/n
- Manage customer payments and follow up outstanding accounts.
/n
- Complete payroll processing and maintain employee records ( we use Employment Hero)
/n
- Process superannuation payments.
/n
- Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) in conjunction with the CFO
/n
- Prepare IAS (Instalment Activity Statements) where required in conjunction with CFO
/n
- Complete monthly GST reconciliations.
/n
- Assist with end-of-month and end-of-year financial reporting in conjunction with the CFO
/n
- Prepare financial reports for Management.
/n
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
/n
- Assist the external Accountant with year-end financial statements and audit requirements.
/n
- Maintain fixed asset registers.
/n
- Monitor company cash flow.
/n
- Process employee expense claims. Maintain accurate filing and financial records.
/n/n
/n
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and accounting requirements.
/n
- Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping systems and office processes.
/n
- Provide general administrative support when required.
/n/n
Skills & Experience
/n
/n
- Previous bookkeeping experience (minimum 3 years preferred).
/n
- Strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting Software.
/n
- Experience preparing and lodging BAS.
/n
- Payroll experience, including superannuation and leave entitlements.
/n
- Excellent understanding of GST and Australian bookkeeping requirements.
/n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
/n
- Robust organizational and time management skills.
/n
- Excellent communication skills.
/n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
/n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
/n/n
