Davidson are pleased to be working with our long-time client who is a state-owned utility organisation, on the recruitment of a new role – Executive Program Director. Our client is working to create a sustainable community in the north of Melbourne, with a view to delivering significant economic, social and environmental advantages for the region.

They are seeking a strategic leader who will be authentic to their organisational values and take a partnership approach, while ensuring nothing is left on the table commercially.

Reporting to the CFO, the Executive Program Director will provide strategic leadership and direction for a large-scale strategic land-development project. You will lead the commercial and contractual negotiation of the development agreement and then into the delivery phase of the project to ensure the project is set up to deliver the sustainable initiatives, policy objectives and its forecast commercial returns.

You will ensure strategies are in place to maximise the potential of the site, provide confidence to the Board and Executive Team that project risks and opportunities are adequately managed, and be responsible for project reporting, including Board papers, to advance the project.

To be successful in this role you will be a proven senior leader with experience in large-scale, strategic projects. Land development expertise will be highly valued, as will experience negotiating development agreements with Development Victoria.
It's essential that you have a strong understanding of the complex stakeholder landscape and the engagement style that will enable you to successfully negotiate outcomes at the State level. You will be confidently able to engage and influence stakeholders in public and private sector, as well as internal to the organisation and out to the Board.

You will be bringing the Executive Team and Board along on a journey that the business hasn't travelled before, so your ability to navigate the complexity of that environment will be paramount.

Please note this role is a two year fixed term contract, and we are open to applicants who are seeking part-time work (0.6+ FTE).
